Crash on Red Hills Parkway Leads to Significant Injuries – St. George, UT

 St. GEORGE, UTAH (JUNE 11, 2018) – The authorities reported that a blue pickup truck jumped the curb on red hills parkway and crashed into an grey Impala, causing significant damage and injuries.

According to St. George Police Captain, Mike Giles, the blue pickup truck after striking and jumping a curb went airborne to crash into the grey Impala. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.

The driver of the grey Impala suffered substantial injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Fire department. Gold Cross Ambulance took the driver to Dixie Regional Medical Center for treatment. The injuries were not considered life threatening.

The driver of the truck sustained few injuries and received treatment at the scene of the crash by Gold Cross Ambulance.

The driver of the blue pick-up is at-fault for the injuries and property damage sustained by the occupant of the grey Impala. According to Utah law the injured occupant have a right to make a claim against the driver of the silver Infiniti or her insurance for their injuries, vehicle damage and loss of enjoyment of life.

Additionally, A motor vehicle crash occurs once every 8 minutes in Utah. These senseless crashes have no place on our roads. When anyone is operating a motor vehicle they must pay attention and follow the basic safety rules that keep us all safe from harm, including yielding when you are supposed to yield.
